Power Skills CoP - Discussion about intermediate results

We face new challenges in projects every day. With this CoP, we want to take a "deep dive" into a wide range of topics from the broad field of project management across all industries and develop new approaches to tackling these issues, as well as publish them in presentations and articles where appropriate.

In this meeting, we want to start with the first topic.

From GDPR to Business Excellence: Using Compliance to Build Better Organisations

Many organisations see GDPR as a legal obligation and an administrative burden. But what if compliance could become a catalyst for stronger governance, improved processes, and sustainable business growth?

In this practical webinar, Tiago Lourenço, PMP®, MSc, shares how project management principles can transform GDPR compliance into an opportunity to improve operational structure, reduce risk, and create scalable business processes.

Flight Levels Flight Club - Businessmap #4 (mit Lukas Schmidt, Deutsche Telekom)

This session opens with a guest who is no stranger in our Flight Levels Community: Lukas Schmidt starts us off with a short intro: how you depict and connect a Flight Levels Work-System Topology (WST) on a Businessmap whiteboard.
Flight Level 3 is the part that does not fit a standard board. Strategy work is not linear: it wants something much more free-flowing, and a whiteboard gives you exactly that. The Flight Level 3 board becomes a narrative you can actually depict, and that narrative is the "S" in SOFI: the stories you pull your outcomes from, before those outcomes turn into flight items. (OKRA - Objectives, Key Results, Actions - is the older Flight Levels depiction of the same idea, and all of those parts can be shown in Businessmap.)

Bring a question or a topic you'd like the group's take on.

See you there.

CoP Energy | Stakeholder Analysis in Energy Sector (3)

The world is facing changes such as digitalization, electrification in the automotive industry, and climate change. The focus is on — energy. In this respect, alternative energy generation options are becoming increasingly important, and the industry needs to reorient itself. Projects in particular have a special role to play here — namely, to enable these necessary innovations in the first place. Projects such as that of TenneT Germany will not remain isolated cases: >>> Link to article (LinkedIn). The Community of Practice (CoP) Energy aims to focus on finding ideas and ways in which project management can help bring these changes into the energy sector.

Stop Guessing: If You Can’t Prove Value, You’re Flying Blind

Most portfolios “look green” but quietly under-deliver.

Why? Because PMOs report progress,  not value.

This session is about fixing that.

English BookClub October 2026 - Agentic Artificial Intelligence

This Month’s Focus Book:  Agentic Artificial Intelligence by Pascal Bornet

Presenter: Richa Agarwal—AI/ML Transformation Leader | Project Manager | AI Service Delivery Specialist | PMI-SME | Women in Projects Network

Event Description
In this edition of the Nexus of Learning Book Club, we use Agentic Artificial Intelligence by Pascal Bornet as a springboard to explore a much bigger question: How should project leaders operate when AI systems are no longer just tools but autonomous collaborators?

Why this book for this event?
Agentic AI represents the next phase of digital transformation. Many organizations are already experimenting with generative AI, but very few are structurally prepared for systems that can reason, plan, trigger workflows, and operate with semi-autonomy. This book was selected because it shifts the conversation from AI as a capability to AI as a transformation catalyst that reshapes governance, delivery models, and leadership accountability.
You will leave with enterprise-level insights, applied perspectives, and a clearer understanding of how to lead confidently in a world where AI is becoming increasingly autonomous.

At our meetings so far last year, it has become clear that our members would like to take a closer look at the PMBOK® Guide. At the next meeting, one of our participants will give a presentation on the topic of ‘Schedule in the Performance Domains’ and show how these can be applied in projects in the life sciences sector.
Afterwards, we would like to initiate a discussion and exchange our own experiences and good practices.

Willkommensstunde - PMI Germany Chapter - October 2026

As PMI Germany Chapter, it is important to us to warmly welcome our new members to the chapter and inform them about current developments, exciting offers, and news from the world of project management. That is why we hold our monthly welcome hour for new members—a format for exchange, insights, and participation. At this event, our new members have the opportunity to ask questions about topics that interest them in connection with the PMI Germany Chapter community. The open dialogue in the early evening is moderated by Jörg Glunde, Vice President of Membership of PMI Germany Chapter e.V., possibly together with other volunteers from the PMI Germany Chapter.
