In the coming weeks, PMI Germany Chapter (PMIGC) will be conducting a survey: “What do you need to move from the second row to the frontline?”
Volunteering is fulfilling, enriching and fosters personal growth. It offers the opportunity to build networks, gain valuable hands-on experience for personal and professional development, and to assume responsibility.
Many individuals aspire to take on leadership roles, whether professionally or as volunteers, to make a meaningful impact. However, transitioning into a leadership role requires more than just motivation. Both in the workplace and in voluntary work, there are barriers that make stepping into leadership positions more challenging.
PMIGC is using International Women’s Day 2025 as an opportunity to launch a survey starting in January. This survey will explore the external factors that hinder people from stepping into leadership roles, whether professionally or as volunteers. PMIGC poses the question to the PMI community: " What do you need to move from the second row to the frontline?"
The aim of this survey is to identify these challenges in order to develop targeted solutions and promote equal opportunities. Regardless of gender or background, everyone has the potential to lead.
This survey will provide valuable insights into what might be holding you back. With this initiative, PMIGC underscores its commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
As part of this initiative, we will publish the results of the survey along with the recommendations of our subject matter experts. Your anonymous contribution will help the PMI Germany Chapter to encourage greater engagement within our community.
The survey will take approximately 5 minutes of your time – just one click and you can take part:
The PMI Germany Chapter invites the PMI Community to champion a future built on equality. Let’s accelerate the change and build a future of leadership together: Take the Lead, Seize the moment! #Accelerate Action
The theme for this year’s International Women's Day, “Accelerate Action”, calls for progress towards gender equality to be accelerated. Given the World Economic Forum's prediction that it would take 134 years to achieve full equality at the current rate, the theme emphasizes the urgency of swift and effective action. https://www.internationalwomensday.com/Theme
