We are excited to invite you to our next PMI Germany Chapter e.V. lecture series on Project Management Awareness, featuring our distinguished speaker Frank Saladis, PMP,  PMI Fellow, Director - PMINYC Academic Outreach. 

At this event, all members of the PMI Germany Chapter have the opportunity to ask questions on topics that interest them in connection with the PMI Germany Chapter community. The open dialog in the early evening will be moderated by Joerg Glunde, Vice President Members of the PMI Germany Chapter e.V., possibly together with other volunteers of the PMI Germany Chapter.

Processes: Scope management

The topic will be explained by the processes related to scope and surrounding knowledge areas or domains. As culture has a deep influence to deriving scope this topic will be included. After the session, the participants will know about the importance of scope and its interstices to surrounding domains. Participants will know how to get started and how to decompose to a sufficient level of detail. The students will be able to identify cultural influences to scope analysis and scope decomposition.

As we continue our fall focus on Business Acumen, this month’s session explores how project professionals can enhance their decision-making by understanding business value and organizational priorities. Whether you’re delivering complex programs or leading a team, the ability to think strategically and act with business insight is key to long-term impact.

This session provides an introduction to project cost management based on the PMBOK Guide. It focuses on the four main processes: Plan Cost Management, Estimate Costs, Determine Budget, and Control Costs. The session concludes with a look at the practical application of these processes in real-world projects.

Risk management in the PMP framework, as outlined in the PMBOK Guide, involves identifying, analyzing, and responding to project risks to minimize their impact.
