Promoting and advancing the application of professional project management in all areas of society is the overriding goal of PMI. With over 700,000 members, PMI is the world's largest organization in this field. For many, simply being a member of this great family is a benefit in itself. However, being a member of PMI and the PMI Germany Chapter also brings many other benefits. These are often not even known. For this reason, we are going on a search for you and presenting a "Benefit of the Month" every month.
Learning accompanies us throughout our professional lives. A truism, but never more important in history than in today's world, which is characterized by constant change and technological progress. Currently, it is often said that we are experiencing a turning point due to artificial intelligence.
For a professional association like PMI, offering professional development opportunities for its members is a key element and concern. Accordingly, there is a wide range of further training opportunities in the form of online courses, in-person training, webinars, e-learning, books and much more. The list of possibilities goes far beyond the scope of this article. If you would like to find out more, you can browse here: Gain Project Management Skills to Boost Your Career
The PMI Germany Chapter also offers many events to enable participants to update their knowledge and bring it up to date. If you want to find out more: https://www.pmi-gc.de/event
It is often said at the moment that we are experiencing a turning point due to artificial intelligence. Anyone who has followed the last few months will have noticed that PMI takes this topic very seriously and publishes something on the topic of AI in projects and project management almost every month. PMI has also incorporated the development of members' expertise in this area into its new strategy (PMI : Next). Most recently, there was the online course "Data Landscape of GenAI for Project Managers". Participation in the course is free of charge for PMI members. Participants who have completed the course say that the course provides an enormously good basis for understanding where GenAI can be used in projects and project management. If you have not yet completed the course, you can register here: Data Landscape of GenAI for Project Managers (pmi.org)
These were just a few examples to show how important PMI considers the professional development of its members and the wide range of opportunities available.
For those who are active in project management and/or are planning their further career in project management, PMI is definitely „THE PLACE TO BE“.
