By means of a scientific survey, it is to be investigated whether there is a thematic connection between project management and de-escalation management in Germany or in German-speaking projects and what the status is on this topic.
Due to changed framework conditions in the power relations of the participants in economic projects, combined with a frequently increased complexity in project implementation, the requirements profile for project managers has developed further. In addition to the "tools of the trade" of a project manager, the competence of de-escalation management is now increasingly required, since suddenly an escalative situation can increasingly arise in the event of a delivery deviation of the contractually assured goods or services.
In the context of his research work at the "SRH Fernhochschule - The Mobile University" Dr. Lutz E. Weber would like to use a survey among German-speaking project managers to examine whether there is a thematic connection between project management and de-escalation management in Germany or in German-speaking projects and what the status on this topic is.
The PMI Germany Chapter supports the study.
