Our focus topic for this issue is: "Projects as the key to mastering major challenges".
Major challenges lie ahead. In February, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz spoke of turning times in connection with Russia's attack on Ukraine.
Coping with climate change, the Covid pandemic and its effects, and the consequences of the war in Ukraine, to name just a few, are major issues of our time. The digital transformation of public administration, where we as a country are quite modest by international standards, is also a major task.
There are countless projects being created to tackle and overcome the social challenges that lie ahead of us. In the coalition agreement signed by the SPD, the Greens and the FDP in 2021, the term "project" appears in 40 places, and the war in Ukraine did not play a role there.
What contribution can project management make to mastering the great challenges of our time? What creative power can we bring to bear as a professional association? What knowledge and skills will be needed in the future, what could leadership look like in uncertain times? Or more generally, how do we want to work in the future?

We want to discuss this and much more in the next Chapter Magazine and hope for many contributions.
Of course, you can also submit another professional article. You are not bound to the main topic.
