In January, we will kick off the new year with the launch meeting of the Community of Practice (CoP) Risk Management within the PMI Germany Chapter e.V.!

In today’s environment, shaped by constant change, risk management is more important than ever. It is essential to identify and actively manage new challenges and uncertainties at an early stage.

An active and strong risk management approach empowers project teams and organizations to master challenges confidently and ensure sustainable success.

In December 2025, we kicked off our new activity, the Collaborative Study Session. However, just as we were about to begin, the PMBOK® Guide 8th Edition was released. We therefore decided to start this year’s sessions using the new PMBOK® Guide.
Before we officially begin, we would like to take a closer look at the PMBOK® Guide – 8th Edition together and exchange our thoughts and ideas for the upcoming sessions.

The world is facing changes such as digitalization, electrification in the automotive industry, and climate change. The focus is on — energy. In this respect, alternative energy generation options are becoming increasingly important, and the industry needs to reorient itself. Projects in particular have a special role to play here — namely, to enable these necessary innovations in the first place.
