1) Artificial intelligence in contract analysis – automation and increased efficiency in contract management

Analyzing project contracts is certainly not a project manager's favorite activity. The risk is high that something will be overlooked or misinterpreted. This is where AI can help.

Since the introduction of ChatGPT, Generative AI (Gen-AI) has been on everyone's lips and is primarily used as a powerful chatbot to answer general questions. To do this, the tool uses a powerful language model that has been extensively trained with freely accessible content from the Internet.
However, the use of Gen-AI technology goes far beyond this use case and offers further usage options, especially for companies, by having their own documents processed by the model. We see a particularly interesting use case here in the automatic evaluation of contracts.

The speakers, Andrei Todea and Dr. Henrik Heier, will present:
• Brief introduction to the topic of Gen-AI (technology, approach and possibilities)
• Presentation of a proprietary tool for the automatic evaluation of company documents using the example of contract documents
• Critical evaluation of the use case (application scenarios and limits in use)
• Outlook

3) Lean-adaptive Project Portfolio Management - increasing efficiency and effectiveness in project work with the LAUP² framework

Prof. Dr. Claus Hüsselmann, after working in business as a project manager, consultant and manager in business process, project and portfolio management, has been head of the PPM Laboratory for Process and Project Management in the Department of Industrial Engineering at the TH Mittelhessen (Giessen/Friedberg) since 2015.

The LAUP2 concept now provides a comprehensive reference model for modern project portfolio management. It combines the claim of a complete, scientifically based reference model with the principle-oriented approaches for efficient and effective design in operational organizations. Based on a best-of canon of processes and roles and incorporating the promising principles and practices - to which numerous pioneering companies for agile portfolio management have contributed their experiences - the LAUP2 concept offers a targeted approach to the professionalization of project portfolio management.

The author, Claus Hüsselmann, provides an overview of the LAUP2 model:

• Process and role model for project portfolio management (PPM)
• Core principles of lean-adaptive PPM - systematics, hierarchy and use
• PPM value streams and exemplary application of the principles
• Selected practices of lean-adaptive PPM:
• Introduction model and outlook.
