On 26 and 27 September 2024, experts, scientists and practitioners will meet in Friedberg for the tenth time to discuss new developments and innovative approaches in project management.

The PVM is the joint annual conference of the project management and process modelling sections of the Gesellschaft für Informatik e.V. (GI). It offers a unique platform where experts, scientists and practitioners come together to present and discuss the latest research results, innovative approaches and proven process models in project management.

How will working in project teams evolve in a changed working environment that is increasingly characterised by new AI tools? How can teamwork be reinterpreted and, above all, redesigned? The main theme of PVM 2024, ‘New ways of working in projects - teamwork reinterpreted’, will focus on exploring these questions from the perspective of science and practice and discussing solutions.

The conference will start with a keynote speech that sets the scene for the upcoming programme items. This will be followed by exciting technical presentations and discussions.

In addition to the specialist program, there is the opportunity to take part in the supplementary training program with topics such as efficient project controlling, AI tools in project management or the application of lean project management and to gain knowledge from experts. Workshops will provide the opportunity to discuss the necessary changes in the management of modern teams and the challenges posed to IT by Low-Code developments.

An attractive evening program with many opportunities to exchange experiences and network rounds off the program.

The PVM 2024 is organized by the two specialist groups Project Management and Process Models of the Gesellschaft für Informatik e.V. (GI), in cooperation with the IT Project Management Section of the GPM e.V., as well as the PMI Germany Chapter e.V. and the University of Trier.

The conference will take place on 26 and 27 September 2024 at the Technische Hochschule Mittelhessen in Friedberg. It will be held primarily in German! 

PMI certificate holders can acquire PDUs for their respective recertification.
