LG Berlin: AI in Practice—or: How do we want to work in the future?! – A development amidst conflicting demands
The Berlin/Brandenburg Regional Group invites you to a presentation:
AI in Practice—or: How do we want to work in the future? Navigating a field of competing priorities
In German
Everyone is talking about AI. But how do you move from initial ideas to a functioning AI strategy within day-to-day organizational operations?
In this session, we will take a behind-the-scenes look at the IHK Berlin’s AI initiative. The focus is not on theoretical visions of the future, but on concrete, real-world experiences:
• How do you launch an organization-wide AI program?
• What use cases actually emerge?
• Why is implementing AI about so much more than just rolling out a tool?
• What roles play data, governance, change management, and culture?
• What works well—and where are the real challenges?
Our speaker:

Stephan Wolter, Deputy CEO and CIO of the Berlin Chamber of Commerce and Industry (IHK Berlin), uses concrete examples to demonstrate how AI initiatives can be established, piloted, and scaled incrementally—ranging from the introduction of Copilots to the deployment of the first AI agents in a live production environment.
The presentation also highlights a key point: AI adoption does not happen automatically. A successful AI transformation requires structures, clear direction, and, above all, people who actively drive change.
