The Community of Practice (CoP) Life Sciences has developed with impressive momentum since its kick-off last year. After two successful events, the current focus is on practice-oriented ‘Group Working Sessions’, in which we jointly analyze real challenges from the life sciences project environment. The aim is to openly exchange experiences, learn from each other and jointly develop solutions that will have an impact beyond our own project.
The focus is not only on solving specific problems, but also on comparing them with proven methods from the Project Management Institute (PMI). This comparison enables us to identify gaps in existing practices and provide targeted impetus for improvements in project management.
This format thrives on active participation. If you would like to exchange ideas with colleagues from the life sciences sector, you are cordially invited to become part of CoP Life Sciences. We are planning the next roundtable in July. As soon as the date is finalised, we will be happy to get back to you! - If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us at any time; cop-lifesciences@pmi-gc.de
We also have a special highlight coming up in June: In cooperation with PMI Belgium and PMI New Jersey, we are organising an international online event on the topic of ‘Harnessing GenAI for Project Management in Life Sciences’, which will take place on 5 June 2025 from 17:00 to 20:00 (CET).
This event is aimed at project managers from the life sciences sector who work with AI experts or GenAI consultants or are planning to do so in the future. The focus is on an active exchange: participants are invited to contribute their own best practices, experiences and perspectives - simply absorbing knowledge is not enough. The aim is to develop a multifaceted understanding of the meaningful use of generative AI in complex project environments.
As the number of participants is limited, you will be selected via a short registration process. After registering, you will be asked to take part in a survey. Based on this information, the organisation team will decide on the final invitation.
