Get involved in the Social Responsibility program of the PMI Germany Chapter: Whether as a PM Coach, Ambassador, or member of the PMO team – contribute your expertise, support NGOs and NPOs, and help create social impact and sustainable projects.

Become a driving force in sustainable projects

Founded as an initiative some time ago, we at PMI Germany Chapter have made it our mission to contribute to social impact, particularly since the initiation of the partnership between PMI and the United Nations (UN).

Based on the "Purpose" of PMI: "Our purpose is to maximize project success to elevate our world" and the mission of the PMI Germany Chapter e.V. – "We promote professional project management in Germany through networks, qualification and social commitment!" – our mission is:

"Social Responsibility is an initiative of the PMI Germany Chapter. Members of the chapter use their competence and experience in project management as volunteers to support sustainable projects with a social impact."

For us, social responsibility means using project management to create a better future. With the PMI Germany Chapter initiative, we support non-governmental organisations (NGOs) and non-profit organisations (NPOs) in making their goals clearer, their projects more structured and their impact more sustainable. Our ambassadors are active throughout Germany, and anyone can get involved.

Our ambassadors are working throughout Germany and everyone can participate.

As a so-called "ambassador", you can identify relevant topics and organizations with which we want to speak and, ideally, enter into a cooperation.

An example from the Eastern Region: Our ambassador Thomas Sturm supports the cooperation with EPIZ e.V. in Berlin, a center for global learning. The aim is to use agile methods and suitable tools to make project work more transparent and effective.

As a PM coach, you accompany NGOs on an equal footing – not operationally, but as a sparring partner. You help to sharpen goals, clarify roles, plan resources realistically and reflect on the impact in a sustainable manner. Your contribution: methodological impetus, reflection and moderation so that teams can implement their projects in a clearer, more structured and more effective manner.

And as a team member, you will help both groups to use tools and methods from our toolbox and develop formats such as "60-minute impulse coaching" for NGO starters.
