… to be more precise, the first annual review of the PMI Germany Chapter. The year started with the opening of our new consolidated website and social media presence, the introduction of a service desk system for your inquiries, the first board elections and in parallel by a seamless transition, events of the local groups (if you did not notice much or nothing, we did everything right) - due to Corona, of course, in the beginning only virtually.
In the course of the year, we were able to hold a few smaller face-to-face events in Stuttgart and Munich; however, we still had to do without the chapter meetings, which were especially popular in Frankfurt and Munich, due to the considerable Corona-related constraints. In fact, we can look back on 119 events for members with a total of 3,213 registrations. I.e., on average, one event took place every other weekday with an average of almost 30 registrations. Once again, a big thank you to the volunteers who made these events possible, and of course to the participants who took up this offer in such large numbers.

It is also interesting to see how the work of the Germany Chapter is perceived within the PMI community. Not necessarily transparent for the "ordinary" member and only indirectly relevant, many of our volunteers and board members participated in activities in the European Chapter Community or in initiatives directly driven by PMI. As a result of the diverse and successful involvement, our chapter has received no less than four awards (badges):
Interchapter Collaboration: our chapter actively participated in PMI European Chapter Collaboration initiatives, including the Europe-wide survey on agility in companies in each participating country. The analysis of the survey results is nearing completion and we hope to present the results shortly. There will also be cross-chapter events, initiated or even hosted by the PMI Germany Chapter.
Special Contributors: all so-called Chapter Leaders can participate in a monthly video call with their peers from other European chapters and contribute actively; in this case it was a report on the state of the Community of Practice "Citizen Development".
Special Innovation Advocates: our chapter has been actively involved in the evaluation of a new PMI product (training material including certification in the area of Organizational Transformation) and we are planning a series of events on this topic in 2022.
Expanded Community Growth: our chapter ranks second in Europe in the use of Chapter Guest Passes; the award also recognizes the significant efforts that contributed to membership growth in 2021.
