Editorial
Dear readers,
We start the new year colorful and diverse.
You are receiving a historical issue of our Chapter
Magazine - the theme is „Project Management in
the Corona Time“.
We asked the readers what was different in PM in
the last two years? Technically: digitalization resp.
transformation has progressed significantly. On a
human level: we have changed from office work to
home office work. Communication in the team is
now only virtual. Is that a gain or a loss? We received
many contributions: today we can present you
a kaleidoscope from different perspectives.
All articles have their own focus. Repetitions are
rare. The tension remains.
Read about empathic leadership (page 20),
stewardship - leadership with transparency and
trustworthiness (21), new, partly metaphysical
questions are raised in the pandemic (39), change
and disruption and the magnitude of effective
communication (32), emotional intelligence (33),
the Virtual Team Maturity Model - what processes
have a major impact on virtual team performance?
(36), What are the human factors in project
management? What is the meaning of human deficiency
and resonance? (38).
Apart from the psychological, soft-skill factors,
what are the technical challenges in the pandemic:
read the article on supply chain disruptions (32).
As usual, we enrich the issue with news and announcements
of great events.
Special: A chapter from Brazil introduces itself:
Discovering PMI Paraná (22).
We want to draw your attention to the upcoming
board elections. Vote! (page 5).
Our 2021 survey showed that industry-specific
topics in project management are of great
interest to everyone. You will learn how lawyers
are discovering and using project management for
themselves with élan in order to effectively meet
the new challenges.
We are eager to hear your feedback. Some of the
articles published here will be on our blog soon.
Give us feedback, likes, or stars or comment and
start the discussion. The blog is open to all (see
page 12).
Enjoy reading and hope you will resonate, inspire,
and gain insight.
