  2. The topic of the presentation is to try and give some context to tie the topics of people working in projects to the Artificial Intelligence (AI) topic. We will give a definition and examples of AI and we will talk about the developments towards AI, the role of the project manager, as well as the process and human impact.

Gloria J. Miller is the founder and managing consultant of maxmetrics GmbH, an international consultancy company focused on project management in international projects and programs in big data analytics, business intelligence, and performance management. She has authored studies, articles, and books on intelligence systems and implementation methodologies. Recent articles have focused on artificial intelligence projects: success factors, stakeholders, and accountability; they consider the outsized impact that the actions of project participants can have on society and the environment.

Previously, Gloria held senior management and consulting positions for such organizations as SAS Institute, Oracle, CDSI, Ultra Tech, and MCI Telecommunications. During her time at SAS, she started the International professional services operations. Also, as the Executive Director for SAS Research and Development India, she led the development of the SAS Industry Intelligence Solutions, a family of solutions for various industries.

Gloria has a doctorate and a master’s degree in business administration and a Bachelor of Science in computer science. She is a certified project manager (PMP®, PMI-ACP®, CSM®) and an IEEE Senior Member and Computer Society Distinguished Contributor.
