What to expect:
A carve-out within a large corporation is not a standard project. Structures must be created, roles are still being defined, and priorities are constantly shifting. How does a project manager maintain an overview?
How do you set clear priorities when everything seems important?
And how do you keep teams on board amid uncertainty, rapid change, and constant shifts?
Using the example of building an independent treasury and risk management organization, we’ll demonstrate how a practical PM toolkit can help:
Effectively combine traditional and agile project management
Maintain focus between strategy and implementation
Effectively lead virtual, international teams
Create psychological safety—especially during high-pressure phases
Good tools are important. What matters most is how PMs use them—and how they lead people, not just projects.
Sebastian Fösel, Global Head of Treasury and Risk Management (ECMS), shares his experiences with the carve-out.
