Kick-off LG Pfalz in Kaiserslautern

This is planned as an event to kick-off LG Pfalz in Kaiserslautern.
LG Pfalz – An Introduction (Jörg Müller-Kindt)
Overview of LG Pfalz, why, who, where, when.
Plan: An event every third Thursday of the month, F2F. Depending on the number of speakers, we will either switch between an informal event (Stammtisch, breakfast) and a formal event (presentation, Q&A) every month, or not. Informal events are kind of retrospectives without a fixed topic. Plans, newcomers, networking etc.
Location: We start in Kaiserslautern, but if a company somewhere else is willing to host, we could travel through the Palatinate.
Upcoming dates:
• Summer Beer: July, 23rd , Kaiserslautern
• Formal Event: August, 20th Kaiserslautern
Speakers, Hosts and helping hands wanted.
Old Man Yells at Cloud: What will I do, when the fairies (aka: “AI”) do everything?
Thoughts of an old sceptic. (Jörg Müller-Kindt)
Yet another presentation about AI, but not quite. I am still a noob and more than sceptic about the current state of AI and its future, but – needs must – and so after a short rant about the nonsense of it all, I want to present the why and how of my own personal, cautious journey towards using AI in order to discuss with you the question: What will I (we) do, when the fairies (aka: AI) do everything and how will we coexist? (and why I – for one – would rather like to win the lottery…)
• Defining and scaling the Core Business: What is and will be my core business as a human being, potentially as a bunch of human beings, going forward? If any, what do I hire people for and when do I just conjure another sprite?
• Process over Magic: AI is not fairy dust; it’s a tool and needs to be used as such. Its purpose is to automate processes and enhance productivity, so me thinking about some nifty hand-written prompt every time I want something cannot be the alpha and omega. Not fairy dust, but my own little army of fairy helpers with a degree of autonomy, if possible. I need an architecture for a fairy kingdom! (or at least a – walled – garden)
• Fairies for service providers: As an external service provider, I must isolate my future fairy kingdom from my clients (and vice versa) and isolate the clients from each other, so: How do I use productivity gains without my fairies rampaging through the clients’ network (and vice versa) or breaking confidentiality with clients? How do I integrate the clients’ toolset(s) into my own process?
• Trust is good, control is better: Security, Data Protection and compliance, or: One day, when I grow up, I might want to have an auditable ISO-certificate (or a GDPR documentation) … And let’s not forget the costs: Money- and otherwise.
