Starting on October 21, 2025, we will launch a new workshop series. Together, we will develop the key artifacts for each of the five project management process groups (Initiating, Planning, Executing, Monitoring & Controlling, Closing), supported by ChatGPT.

Review

Since the founding of the CoP 1.5 years ago, we have held one-hour sessions without a fixed structure, exploring various aspects of using AI in project management:

• Fundamentals of GenAI
• Practical applications of GenAI in daily life and project management
• Tools and platforms
• Introduction of GenAI into organizations
• Legal and societal topics (e.g., EU AI Act, opportunities and risks in everyday life)

A participant survey on how we should continue with the CoP highlighted two main format preferences:

• Workshops with concrete project management use cases
• Presentations, keynotes, and discussions on the general development of AI and its impact on project management

New Workshop Format

We are currently developing a curriculum for the workshops. The basis will be a fictional sample company modeled in ChatGPT, within which we will conduct a project, aligned with the project management process groups.

• October 21, 2025: Introduction to the approach and creation of key initiation artifacts (Project Charter, Stakeholder Register, High-Level Risk Overview)
• November 18, 2025: Creation of the most important planning artifacts (Project Management Plan with sub-plans, etc.)
• In the following sessions: Development of artifacts for all remaining process groups
• Session 6 (Closing): Presentation of how the sample company was built in ChatGPT

This will demonstrate step by step how ChatGPT can support project managers in their daily work.

• Participants: Open to anyone who is interested.
• Language: The workshops will be conducted in German.
• Duration: Each workshop lasts 2 hours, including hands-on exercises
• PDUs: 2 PDUs can be claimed for each session (details will be announced for each date)
