You are planning to establish a Project Management Office or you are just at the beginning of the journey.
The mentoring program of the PMI Germany Chapter is dedicated to the mission of fostering knowledge, orientation, and the exchange of best practices when building Project Management Offices.
A Project Management Office (PMO) is an organizational unit that creates standards, methods, and transparency in project management. Especially when setting up a PMO, many questions arise: What responsibilities does a PMO take on? How can it be successfully introduced within a company? Which structures actually work in practice?
This is exactly where the PMO mentoring program of the PMI Germany Chapter comes in. The program promotes knowledge exchange, orientation, and dialogue on proven approaches for establishing a Project Management Office.
The program started in September 2025 and has since created the foundation for the mentoring program and the value generation of various PMO projects through joint consultations and workshops.
In addition to directly supporting chapter members, the mentoring program also aims to develop a format that could potentially be rolled out internationally through the Project Management Institute in the future. The program is supported by the PMOGA community and its ambassadors.
We are currently looking for additional mentees who are seeking support and direct exchange with experienced practitioners for their task of establishing a PMO. The mentoring program offers insights into different approaches to building a PMO and space for discussing practical questions.
You can participate if you are currently building a Project Management Office or planning to do so.
