Promoting and advancing the application of professional project management in all areas of society is the overriding goal of PMI. With over 700,000 members, PMI is the world's largest organization in this field. For many, simply being a member of this great family is a benefit in itself. However, being a member of PMI and the PMI Germany Chapter also brings many other benefits. These are often not even known. For this reason, we are going on a search for you and presenting a "Benefit of the Month" every month.

Today we want to introduce the mentoring program of the PMI Germany Chapter. A great benefit for chapter members!

The mentoring program gives participating members the opportunity to come together with other PMI Germany Chapter members to gain support in achieving their own goals or to help others achieve their goals and to exchange practical experience and theoretical knowledge in a structured way.



The program, which is organized and led by volunteers from the PMI Germany Chapter, pairs mentees and mentors together to give both the opportunity to learn from each other and develop professionally in project management. In terms of content, the mentee-mentor relationship is primarily shaped by the needs of the mentees.

The first full run of the program will be completed in December 2023 (after a pilot in 2022). In this first round, 68 participants embarked on a journey of sharing experiences and supporting each other. 33 mentors mentored 35 mentees, including 8 members of the PMI Ukraine Chapter.

The program is open to members of the PMI Germany Chapter and as such represents a great member benefit. PDUs can also be earned by participating in the program.
