On October 10, 2024 at 10:00 AM BST (British Summer Time), the world of project management will come together for the next PM4TheWorld conference.
The world is facing a future full of crises. Almost every day, at least one region of the planet is exposed to a new threat. Project managers and the discipline of project management can play their part in making a difference. As project managers, we are uniquely qualified and are in important places to help improve the planet we live on.
With the support of key sponsors, the Project Management Institute (PMI) and Project Managers Without Borders (PMWB), the conference aims to provide vital skills to help those in need and raise awareness of threats to local and global communities in companies and organizations worldwide, as well as prepare us for action.
Project managers from around the world will join scientists, politicians and participants from business and public organizations to discuss how they and the discipline of project management can contribute to making change happen. Presentations from speakers covering everything from AI to sustainable solutions will inspire action. Project Managers Without Borders will showcase efforts to make a difference in every region of the world. World-renowned experts will come together to present innovative solutions and project management strategies that bridge the gap between disaster and recovery.
Participants will gain new skills in project management, risk management, disaster recovery and the use of AI in crisis situations.
The main topics will be:
- Innovative solutions to strengthen the resilience of vulnerable communities,
- Technology and innovation in disaster relief,
- Maximizing the impact of humanitarian projects with minimal effort,
- Adaptive project management practices in dynamic environments,
- Strategic project management for effective post-disaster reconstruction.

Unlike the Sustainability Summit 2023, which was free for all participants, there is a very small registration fee of 10 GPP (equivalent to around EUR 12). 100% of these proceeds will go to CARE, one of the world's largest international aid organizations. None of this money is used to cover the costs of organizing and running the conference, these are covered by the PMI UK Chapter.
The registration page also provides further links to donate additional amounts to CARE's local sister organizations in various countries.
Together we can create a more resilient world!
