The focus topics "Exchange and Networking", "Knowledge Transfer" and "Methodological Development" presented in the General Assembly of July 1, 2021 have been further condensed to the following three overarching goals:
Goal 1 - Make the network better
To achieve this, we will make our existing community more diverse by targeting women and young project managers to enrich our community. This will also include exchange and collaboration with other chapters.
Furthermore, we will increase the impact of the network, e.g. through more social responsibility projects where interested people can bring in their knowledge or learn new skills. Or through posts, articles, lectures or workshops by members of the PMI Germany Chapter, especially our Circles (e.g. Public Administration) as well as our Communities of Practice.
Goal 2 - Make project managers better
This includes the identification of current trends in the field of project management in order to be able to organize appropriate events on such trend topics.
We also want to strengthen the professional foundations of our members by placing important topics at our annual congress and by strengthening the cooperation in our Communities of Practice. Our members will also learn from each other through our upcoming mentoring program.
Goal 3 - Improve project management to increase relevance
We will focus on collaborations with players in the education system such as universities and others, for the ultimate goal of establishing project management as an integral part of the educational system.
We additionally plan to increase the reach of our activities, e.g. by publishing results like e.g. white papers from our Communities of Practice.
All this will not work without appropriate access to communication channels such as the press and trade journals, which we intend to build up in the course of this.
This represents a snippet of what we can envision in terms of strategic activities for 2022. Critical to implementation, as is already the case, is the willingness of volunteers to work on these issues.
In addition, our strategy is of course "living" and will therefore be developed further on a regular
