Online Event LG DA: Disciplined Agile – The new Arsenal of a Project Manager

Disciplined Agile – The new Arsenal of a Project Manager
While the concept of Project Management has been in vogue for centuries, the challenge has been in its interpretations and adoption to our work environment. To keep pace with the demands of the market, project management practices have been continuously refined to make it easy for understanding, adoption, and practice. With the composition of the workforce spanning across the Baby Boomers to the Millennials there is a mixed reaction – scepticism to fan following. Conflicts arise not due to the philosophies of project management practices, but due to the lack of understanding of the underlying intent of the practice.
This talk will trace the evolution of the project management practices from the traditional PDCA to the Disciplined Agile, which is claimed to be the latest arsenal in the project management practice inventory. Does this mean the end of the road for the other methodologies? Or is there a new demand on project management practitioners to understand the potential of each new practice to decide and justify the use of “A Particular” method based on the project environment?
