Online Event LG Darmstadt: Next-Generation Project Management Techniques (Paul W. M. Cuypers, Norway)
Join us on this event with the amazing speaker Paul W. M. Cuypers on the topic of Next Generation Project Management Techniques.
Paul Cuypers is an experienced and certified program-, project-, change-, and test manager, agile coach, and independent researcher working in Norway.
Some of the topics we will cover are:
- Power Kanban
Power Kanban is a next-generation agile technique designed to reduce uncertainty by increasing
information awareness and availability in programs and projects. SCRUM, combined with the
Kanban technique, took the world of project management by storm, although it proved hard to
port to domains other than software development, for which it was initially designed.
- PMO Capability
The PMO acts as a catalyst in establishing strategic, tactical, and operational project capability.
Strategic capability ensures that the right project portfolio is selected to support the vision
aligned with the strategy, addressing both urgent organizational needs and investing in future
value creation for the long term. At the tactical level, projects must be staged for maximum
synergy, considering dependencies, organizational constraints, and integrated resource
scheduling across projects, operational, training, and holiday needs. Benefit realization after the
project conclusion and structural problems are solved at this level. Operational project capability
delivers the right results within constraints while maximizing benefits and minimizing
uncertainty.
