What to Expect

Dear project managers, aspiring PMs, and everyone passionate about turning ideas into impact,

Welcome to the second PMI Roundtable in Mainz!

This meetup brings together professionals who manage, lead, and build – for an open, informal conversation about real-world challenges in project management. Whether you're a seasoned expert or just starting out, your perspective is truly valued.

To spark the conversation, we’ll begin with the theme: “Project Management Across Industries.” Each sector plays by its own rules – what works in IT might not apply in construction or healthcare. Sharing experiences across industries helps us better understand which practices are effective and which ones fall short.

While we have a starting theme, we always welcome your questions and ideas. If there’s a topic you’ve been wanting to explore – Bring Your Own Question (BYOQ). Expect a relaxed and friendly atmosphere, perfect for exchanging insights, finding like-minded peers, and leaving with fresh inspiration.

The working language of the meetup is English, to include our international network. Of course, feel free to contribute in German whenever that’s more comfortable – we value clarity over formality.

Please note: Due to the celebration of German Unity Day, this month’s meetup will take place on the second Thursday – to better accommodate everyone’s schedule.

We’re excited to continue growing our local PMI community in Mainz and look forward to seeing you at our second event!
