One of the most fundamental topics in project management is selecting the best methodology for an upcoming project. A great many other decisions made throughout the project are based on this choice. Because this topic is so important, the PMP exam includes quite a few questions on it. At the same time, many project managers have experience only with a specific type of project and need to familiarize themselves with the full range of options—including their pros and cons—in order to make a carefully considered decision and select the best answer on the exam.

Most portfolios “look green” but quietly under-deliver.

Dear (new) members of the Berlin/Brandenburg Local Group and anyone interested in project management in the Berlin area, we invite you to our monthly meetup!
We meet once a month at various locations in Berlin to exchange ideas, share experiences, and make new contacts in a relaxed atmosphere. It's an open meeting without presentations or a fixed program.

In this edition of the Nexus of Learning Book Club, we use Agentic Artificial Intelligence by Pascal Bornet as a springboard to explore a much bigger question: How should project leaders operate when AI systems are no longer just tools but autonomous collaborators?

Why this book for this event?
Agentic AI represents the next phase of digital transformation. Many organizations are already experimenting with generative AI, but very few are structurally prepared for systems that can reason, plan, trigger workflows, and operate with semi-autonomy. This book was selected because it shifts the conversation from AI as a capability to AI as a transformation catalyst that reshapes governance, delivery models, and leadership accountability.
You will leave with enterprise-level insights, applied perspectives, and a clearer understanding of how to lead confidently in a world where AI is becoming increasingly autonomous.

At our meetings so far last year, it has become clear that our members would like to take a closer look at the PMBOK® Guide. At the next meeting, one of our participants will give a presentation on the topic of ‘Schedule in the Performance Domains’ and show how these can be applied in projects in the life sciences sector.
Afterwards, we would like to initiate a discussion and exchange our own experiences and good practices.

As PMI Germany Chapter, it is important to us to warmly welcome our new members to the chapter and inform them about current developments, exciting offers, and news from the world of project management. That is why we hold our monthly welcome hour for new members—a format for exchange, insights, and participation. At this event, our new members have the opportunity to ask questions about topics that interest them in connection with the PMI Germany Chapter community. The open dialogue in the early evening is moderated by Jörg Glunde, Vice President of Membership of PMI Germany Chapter e.V., possibly together with other volunteers from the PMI Germany Chapter.
