As the influential Chinese philosopher Confucius said – “When it is obvious that the goals cannot be reached, don’t adjust the goal; adjust the action steps.”

Have you ever had a broken leg?

How can you use a project management framework to recover from a broken ankle?

Have you heard how to leverage the project management framework to manage your health goals?

How often have you heard project management being used to solve personal problems? You probably have heard it in the context of refurbishing their home, setting up a home garden, or buying a new car, etc. We often hear the term project management used in work-related contexts to solve business problems or meet business goals.

Project management cuts across industries, and healthcare is no different. The healthcare industry revolves around patient care outcomes, which is crucial.

Dr. Deepa Bhide is a renowned thought leader in the project management domain. She started her career as a pediatrician more than 20 years ago with one goal: to be the best in her profession and serve the community. A few personal incidents changed the course of her career and meant she could not pursue a clinical career, but not her goals.

Deepa met with a devastating ankle fracture that threatened to create a permanent disability. Deepa leveraged her project management knowledge and conceived the recovery project as a “project.” This helped her achieve a satisfactory outcome and spring into action in her daily life!

Would you like to know how she did this? Listen to the insights of Dr. Deepa in conversation with Ravinder Singh, PMI volunteer from PMI Germany Chapter.
