PMI Germany Chapter e.V.

On May 10th the Kickoff of the first round of the “Youth Empowerment Program” – YEP has taken place and gave the start to the program itself.

What is YEP?

The YEP is an activity of the PMI Germany Chapter to promote young talents in project management.

Actually, the PMI Germany Chapter has one industry specific and five theme focused Communities of Practice (CoPs), which main goal is to exchange knowledge and best practices within a team of volunteers and contribute it externally to different channels like Chapter Magazine, Newsletter, Social Media, etc. CoPs also play a significant role in inspiring and motivating the new members and Volunteers, because it should ensure room for team collaboration, collective learning and sharing of ideas.

The Variety of topics, experience, characters, and vibes across the CoPs is a huge source of potential, that can enormously develop not only the Germany chapter, but also the whole PMI Community.

In order to canalize this potential and energy on more effective and productive way we started developing a new Concept for CoPs’ management.

Diversity and Inclusion are key factors for project success. A diverse team provides delivers better outcomes and more creative solutions, better collaboration and more innovation. Diversity is integral to any organization and so it is to our PMI Germany Chapter!

There were many excellent contributions in different session formats. Discussions were held on the role of PMOs in the success of projects, bringing sustainability concerns into projects, aspects of resilience in projects and organizations, and much more.

As an organization, we strive to provide the best possible services to our members and to continuously improve our offerings. Therefore we need your support and we asked you to participate in our short member survey. Your answers are very important to us and will help us to optimize our work and adapt our offers to your needs. Hence, the duration of the member survey has now been extended.

Reasonable conclusions and sufficiently reliable statements regarding the population of all members of the PMI Germany Chapter e. V. can only be achieved with a correspondingly large sample.

Starting 25 July 2023, the new Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM^®) certification exam will be available to better support your career journey. By going beyond the PMBOK^® Guide, the new exam will integrate content across project management, including business analysis & agile principles. Being CAPM^® certified is an asset that will distinguish you in the job market and enhance your credibility and effectiveness working on — or with — project teams.

The PMI Germany Chapter is the third largest PMI Chapter in Europe with about 3,300 members. But we can only reach more people if we communicate. Therefore, we need you!

Now the time has come: the PMI Germany Chapter is delighted to offer development opportunities within the framework of a nationwide mentoring program. The chapter-wide rollout was started in March.
