PMI Germany Chapter e.V.

On August 01 2021, the new PMBOK^® 7 went on open sale, members could download it as a personal copy already since the beginning of July as a PDF. Therefore, the PMI Germany Chapter had organized a series on the new PMBOK^® edition to accompany the new publication.

Our series on PMBOK^® Guide 7 was intended to give our members and other interested parties an understanding of the new PMBOK^® Guide and to answer your open questions about it. First of all, three grandees of project management in Germany had started the series by taking a closer look at different aspects of PMBOK^® Guide 7 and discussing them with you.

Social responsibility is becoming increasingly important, as current developments show. Not only, but also as a project manager of a Non-Governmental Organization.

The Social Responsibility Program is an initiative of the PMI Germany Chapter e. V. - members of the chapter use their competence and experience in project management as volunteers to support projects with a social and sustainable background.

As part of our next Chapter Magazine in May 2022, we would like to discuss the topic of sustainability and climate protection in project management. Please send contributions by May 05, 2022 to magazine@pmi-gc.de

Are you preparing for your PMP exam and would like to address questions and to network with other members who are also preparing for the exam?

In our international PMP Study Brunch you can connect via video conference with other candidates and address your questions to an experienced PMP.

Start of our New Workshop Series from May 31, 2022, continuously once a month with deep-dive topics.

Our top speaker Robert Beckenbauer - competitive athlete, consultant, coach, and trainer - will introduce you to the concept of "Martial Arts for Managers and Executives" in this initial workshop.
The two focal points will be explained:

Martial Arts and Leadership - What can managers learn from Asian Martial Arts and their philosophy,
Competitive Sports and Management - What can managers learn from competitive sports and sports psychology.

Communication about our activities, plans, strategies, events, news from the world of PMI and much more is the image-building heart of our chapter.
This is where we decide how we as a chapter are perceived by the outside world. A great deal has been accomplished in this regard over the past year. We want to continue and expand on that.

For this we are looking for more editors.

Speakers from PMI Paraná and PMI Germany will come together to discuss the challenges faced in Disciplined Agile following the shift to work from home.

The event will begin with a keynote address from each region and end with a Q&A.

Join us and explore the differences and commonalities in the approach to Disciplined Agile in our two regions.

Diversity is a key factor for project success. A diverse team provides better answers and better / more creative solutions, better collaboration and more innovation. Nowadays, everyone speaks about diversity, and so we do! The PMI Germany Chapter Diversity Initiative has recently celebrated its first anniversary with great achievements and high interest from our Chapter members. The journey goes on with exciting topics, opening also the collaboration with other PMI Chapters.

Dear readers,

We start the new year colorful and diverse.
You are receiving a historical issue of our Chapter
Magazine - the theme is „Project Management in
the Corona Time“.

After two years of cooperation between the non-profit association WECF and the Social Responsibility Program of the PMI Germany Chapter, the introduction of the project management manual "Project Execution Masterplan" was successfully completed. In particular, the focus has been on the introduction and establishment of project management standards in WECF’s department of "Energy & Climate."

The cooperation partner, WECF e.V. Germany, is a non-profit association based in Munich and is a member of the international network WECF (WECF stands for Women Engage for a Common Future, Link: https://www.wecf.org), which includes more than 150 women's, environmental and health organizations that carry out projects in 50 countries – with the goal of creating a just, sustainable, and healthy environment for all.
