If you are interested in volunteering and putting your project management and leadership experience to good use, then apply to join us. As Head of Communications for the Region South of the PMI Germany Chapter, you will plan, coordinate and manage the preparation and spread of information from the Southern Region for our members and an extended group of interested parties.

Structurally, we as a chapter are set up in such a way that primarily in the Local Groups member offers are provided in the form of events. For all chapter members living in the south, this means that they can participate in all online chapter events as before. In addition, the in-person events planned by the active Local Groups in the Southern Region will continue as normal.

On the initiative of Andrea De Ruiter, a group of volunteers is currently being formed who want to intensify chapter life in the greater Munich area. In perspective, we expect a chapter meeting comparable to those from the times of the Southern Germany Chapter in February 2023.

This year, the Pulse of the Profession Report investigated the relationship between power skills and project success.

Power skills are knowledge and abilities in the areas of communication, problem- and conflict-resolution, team leadership and strategy.

The PMI Germany Chapter is launching the PMP Study Brunch in 2023. This will be a great opportunity to learn about the new PMP exam pattern.

We will meet on regular basis twice a month. In doing so, we will address your questions. Difficult issues will become discussed respectfully in the community of the participants. Solicit other volunteers to help in your questions. 

The PMP Study Brunch will be a great opportunity to learn about the new PMP exam pattern. Experienced speaker will cover topics from the domains of PMP as per PMBOK 7. A few sessions will also cover simulator questions from the PMP exam.

We would like to inform you that our board member Dr. Werner Waldner has resigned from his position as VP Region South effective December 1, 2022 for personal reasons. We would like to thank Dr. Werner Waldner for his contributions to the Chapter and its members and are pleased that he will remain with us as a volunteer in the area of Social Responsibility Projects in the Region South.

In accordance with our bylaws, the VP Region South position will be posted for the next board election in March 2023. Until then, the Board will soon appoint interim Region South lead.
