Promoting and advancing the application of professional project management in all areas of society is the overriding goal of PMI. With over 700,000 members, PMI is the world's largest organization in this field. For many, simply being a member of this great family is a benefit in itself. However, being a member of PMI and the PMI Germany Chapter also brings many other benefits. These are often not even known. For this reason, we are going on a search for you and presenting a "Benefit of the Month" every month.
Today we want to introduce the mentoring program of the PMI Germany Chapter. A great benefit for chapter members!

The PMI Germany Chapter only works with Volunteering!
In order to support our profession as a professional association and to implement our chapter strategy, we need support and are looking for more volunteers.
A chapter is a group of PMI members within a specific geographical area - in our case, Germany. The PMI Germany Chapter creates a sense of belonging and fosters a community spirit among members. We organize regular meetings, events, workshops and seminars where professionals can come together, exchange ideas and learn from each other. But we couldn't do all this without our volunteers - the essential core of the chapter. And to be able to do more as a professional association, we also need more support, i.e. more volunteers.
Announcement of a Community of Practice "Artificial Intelligence in Project Management"
As a professional association, it is important for us to pick up on topics and trends and work out what they mean for the field of project management. In the PMI Germany Chapter, we do this in so-called Communities of Practice (CoP).
The first round of the nationwide mentoring program is approaching the finish line.
In just over a month the first round of the mentoring program for members of the PMI Germany Chapter ends. The overall feedback is very positive and offers helpful recommendations ahead of the preparation for our second round, targeted to kick off in Q1/24.
In mid-December, the first round of our mentoring program will be completed. In this initial round, 68 participants embarked on a journey of sharing experiences and mutual support. 33 mentors are guiding 35 mentees - including 8 members of the PMI Chapter Ukraine. Even though this round is still ongoing, the feedback we (as program team) did receive through an anonymous survey is quite encouraging for us.
Thought Leadership Report - Building and leading High-Performing Teams
Adaptation is the order of the day for modern companies. According to a recent PMI global survey on project management, two-thirds of organizations are engaged in ongoing and continuous digital transformation. Other priorities include changing corporate strategy (36%), introducing new technologies (34%) and expanding into new markets (32%). All of this is associated with more or less far-reaching changes. In order to manage these changes, you need future-oriented project teams.
How can project managers build and maintain such high-performance, future-oriented teams?
