In a world that is rapidly changing and includes a wide range of diversity, mutual understanding and adaptability are important competencies for leaders to work effectively in teams in such environments.
We work together in cross-cultural and cross-generational teams whose members all bring their own values, goals and dreams. Mutual understanding and openness to others are very important skills to be successful in projects and organizations.

Member benefit of the month - Episode 2 - Standards for Portfolio and Program Management
Member benefit of the month - Episode 1 - PMBOK® Guide.
Promoting and advancing the application of professional project management in all areas of society is PMI's major overarching goal. With almost 700,000 members, PMI is the world's largest organization in this field. For many, simply being a member of this great family is a benefit in itself. However, being a member of PMI and the PMI Germany Chapter brings many additional benefits. These are often not even known. For this reason we are going on a search for you and from now on we will present a "Benefit of the Month" every month.
We want to start with a work, which should be known to most readers. The basic work of project management par excellence, the PMBOK® Guide. Due to its great importance for project management as a topic, the work deserves to be mentioned as the first benefit. "Honour to whom honour is due!".

The first round of the nationwide mentoring program kicks off
On June 14th, the kickoff of the first round of the nationwide mentoring program for members of the PMI Germany Chapter will take place - giving the starting signal for the mentees and mentors.
Following a pilot project last year in the North, West and East regions, the chapter-wide rollout began in March and April with a total of 1,628 members nationwide and of the PMI Ukraine Chapter who met the criteria for a mentee or mentor communicated transparently in the invitation (here are more details for the criteria).
From the 75 applications received, 68 members have now been "matched" and formed into mentoring pairs, who will be briefed and familiarized with the rules at the "kick-off" on June 14th.
We asked - and you gave us your opinion
3,285 members were asked to participate in our member survey. Many thanks to the 282 members, or 8.6 percent who participated.
PMI conducts a satisfaction survey of our chapter members each fall. In addition, in the spring we invited our members to participate in our chapter's own member survey. While the PMI survey asks more general satisfaction questions, we wanted to find out how the specific chapter offerings are viewed.
