In version 7 of the PMBOK^® Guide, the process orientation (initiation, planning, execution, monitoring and control completion) for managing projects was completely removed and replaced by twelve principles of project management.

Through Hours for Impact, PMI supports the United Nations' 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

As a for-purpose organization, PMI is dedicated to enabling changemakers worldwide to elevate their positive impact on society. We believe that protecting our planet and improving the lives of people worldwide is essential for creating peace and prosperity. 

PMI members will receive a 10% discount for attending the Peter Drucker Forum in Vienna on Nov. 17-18, 2022 in Vienna.

Peter F. Drucker is considered one of the most important management thinkers of the 20th century. The Global Peter Drucker Forum is held annually in Vienna in his honor, and over time has become one of the most important events in the field of management.

PMI will be participating in the Forum this year, hosting a session on ESG (Environment, Social, Governance) and a session on Knowledge Workers and what makes them productive.

The quarterly chapter magazine of the PMI Germany Chapter is increasingly becoming a fixture and a flagship of the chapter. The last issues were consistently well received by readers.

After Sunil Prashahra announced in mid-2021 that he would not continue in office at the end of 2021, we have been waiting with excitement and impatience for the announcement of his successor. The President and CEO (the official title) is the sole employee of the Board of Directors and works very closely with them. He is responsible for developing and implementing PMI's strategy. In a membership organization like PMI, he is also in dialogue with us members, volunteers and certificants.

We are thrilled to announce the start of the mentoring program in our chapter! To set the program on the path to success, we first piloted it with a limited set of mentor/mentee pairs before opening it to more participants.

The Re-Launch of the Local Group Konstanz Stammtisch after Corona was more than successful. Nothing can replace a direct togetherness, a direct seeing, feeling, smelling and hearing. Combined with a boat trip on the Untersee, ideas for the future of the Stammtisch bubbled up. This motivated very much and so we have planned a lot!

The PMI Germany Chapter is pleased to offer its next Professional Development Workshop for chapter members and non-chapter participants. Participants will have the opportunity to earn 1.5 PDUs for PMP Certification renewal.
