After the first successful first Female Empowerment Program in 2022, the second round of the FEMP Program will start on Feb. 16th, 2023.

230204 FEMP What is FEMP? 

The FEMP is an activity to promote women in project management, which was started in 2022 within the Diversity Initiative of the PMI Germany Chapter e.V.  

For some years now, there has been a partnership between the PMI Germany Chapter e.V. and the ISACA Germany Chapter e.V.

This also offers members of both associations the opportunity for mutual collaboration in the 14 ISACA special interest groups (https://www.isaca.de/fg-start) as well as in our 6 Communities of Practice - CoPs of the PMI Germany Chapter e.V. (https://pmi-gc.de/en/community-2/communities-of-practice-eng).

As co-organizers of the "Project Management and Process Models 2023" conference, we are looking for contributions for lectures at this conference.

This gives our volunteers, members and friends the opportunity to present and discuss themselves and their thoughts and experiences outside of the PMI community.

Process Orientation Guide, Micro-Credentials, Wicked Problem Solving, Location-based Pricing, Certification Framework, CoPs, Study Group - after three weeks of vacations at the turn of the year still no orientation in the office found, and already again news from PMI and the PMI Germany Chapter? Do you want to know what's going on in the second largest PMI Chapter in Europe?

The PMI Germany Chapter will cooperate with many other PMI Chapters in organizing on March 8th 2023 a whole day online event celebrating the International Women’s Day 2023. The campaign theme is #EmbraceEquity.

230108 Process Groups PMI (Project Management Institute) is bringing back the 49 PMBOK Guide processes.

The new standard "Process Groups: A Practice Guide" has been published. It replaces the PMBOK Guide 6th Ed, which is still used in many companies, but also for the certification exams.

It can be assumed that the new standard will soon be the main reference base of PMP and CAPM certification exams together with the PMBOK Guide 7th Ed. and the Agile Practice Guide.

In 2023 we are entering our third year as a Germany-wide active chapter. The first two years were very much characterized by crises and changes. But after the pandemic, the war in Ukraine, and the energy crisis, things can only get better.

What can be expected from the chapter in 2023?

The next edition of the Chapter Magazine will be published in February 2023.

Passion for a world in which projects are carried out professionally - that is what drives us volunteers in the PMI Germany Chapter. And because we value the passion of our volunteers, we have volunteer events to exchange ideas in the community and to say thank you.

After almost exactly three years, a really big in-person PMI conference took place, however with a new name - PMI Global Summit - and a new concept, namely the combination of PMI Leadership Institute Meeting North America with the target group of volunteers as well as the PMI Global Conference and PMO Symposium, which were primarily aimed at PM practitioners.

Another aspect made this event unique: exactly 90 days after taking over the role as CEO, Pierre Le Manh was welcoming about 3,500 on-site and 3,000 online attendees.
